Why is being organic important?
Organic agriculture uses methods that preserve the environment and avoid the use of pesticides, antibiotics or genetic engineering (GMOs).
Where does your nori come from?
Our certified organic nori is harvested in the Jiangsu province of China. Our seaweed is farmed in this carefully selected area, traditionally known as the agricultural and fishing region. Jiangsu borders the East China Sea, right across from South Korea. The farm location chosen provides the resources and environment to support organic farming practices, resulting in an all-natural, organic premium nori product.
How much iodine does your nori contain?
An independent lab measured the iodine level at 32.9mg/kg, which is equivalent to 0.08mg or iodine per full sheet of ONE ORGANIC nori.
Are there any oils used in the process of making/roasting the sheets such as canola or vegetable oil?
We do not use any oils in our roasting process. The nori is just roasted. No other ingredients are added. It is produced using a low-heat, dry roasting process.
Does the nori need to be refrigerated?
While refrigeration is not required, we recommend storing packages in the refrigerator for maximum freshness once they have been opened.
